A bed is to a room what a couch is to the living room. It anchors the room and sets the tone. It responsible for setting the mood for the experience you can expect in the bedroom. Of course your room consist of a variety of furniture pieces and fittings, but it’s important to understand the role of the headboard in your bedroom.

Here you will see how I breakdown the personality of each headboard so you better understand how to select and purchase one. Whether you are starting with a blank canvas or a currently furnished room, either way this post should assist you in understanding the "personality" of a headboard.

1. Super-sized Tuft/Grand Subtle collection
The larger than life oversized headboard lends a very grand feel to the room (extending pass the mattress approximately 12-16 inches on each side) The neutral color allows for a subtle and soft feel while the consistent tufting provides character & consistency.

2. Ethnic Masculinity
The woodcarving lends a strong, tribal and traditional feeling. Combined with the grounded and rooted element which dark cocoa provides, this headboard transfers an immense amount of strength and nature to a room.

3. Slightly Graphic/Graphic Arch
The contours on each corner of the headboard lend “soft around the edges” while still holding the sentiments of rooted strength with the use of deep cocoa. The subtle graphic within the headboard frame gives an expressive yet subtle detail to the headboard.
